Luby Equipment Services was incorporated in 1974, as a heavy industrial repair business. This lead into the repair, rebuilding, and maintenance of plant air compressors and other heavy equipment. In addition, Luby distributes several brands of compressor products and construction equipment, which supply the industrial, construction, and oil field markets.
Luby Equipment Services actively pursued the oil field markets with shallow oil field drilling rigs, high-pressure compressors and down-hole hammers and bits to the Arkoma and Permian Basin. Originally located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Luby Equiment's "Oil and Gas Division" is currently headquartered in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Luby Equipment Services was fortunate enough to introduce the down hole hammer drilling concept to the Arkoma Basin, where air drilling was predominate. Luby rents air compressor packages for oil field application, consisting of three 900/350 compressors, along with an air compressor booster capable of 1400 psi.
In addition to high pressure air, hammers and bits, Luby has a fleet of Variable (extended reach) Forklifts to complement its rental water pumps and primary generators.
Luby's corporate headquarters is in Fenton (Saint Louis) Missouri. In addition, Luby has Missouri locations in O'Fallon and Cape Girardeau, Illinois branches in Quincy and Caseyville, and its "Oil and Gas Division" in Fort Smith, Arkansas. All stores provide parts, service, and sales but empathize in rental of construction and oil field equipment.
