SR270B Features
Visibility and Comfort
This model sets the industry benchmark for visibility with its innovative design incorporating a backup camera operational in both forward and reverse, ensuring operators have clear sightlines. The cab-wide rearview mirror, extensive front and side windows, and a low entry threshold enhance visibility down to the bucket. A gently sloping rear hood and 360-degree lighting further contribute to the operator’s ability to see all around the machine. The SR270B also features one of the widest cabs in the industry, equipped with redesigned control handles, cupholders, and air vents that increase legroom and comfort for day-long operations.
Optimal Control
With options for electro-hydraulic, mechanical, and mechanical hand and foot controls, the SR270B caters to various operator preferences. The electro-hydraulic models are particularly noteworthy, featuring an 8-inch LCD multi-function display that allows for seamless switching between ISO and H operating patterns. This system enables operators to save profiles and settings, adjust the machine’s responsiveness to low, medium, or high, or even set loader arm and drive response independently, tailoring the machine to specific tasks or operator preferences.
Productivity and Performance
The SR270B excels as a large and powerful radial lift skid steer, adept at handling challenging terrain and demanding hydraulic attachments. Its 2,700-pound rated operating capacity can be further enhanced with optional high-flow and enhanced high-flow auxiliary hydraulics, making it a formidable force for any job site. Optional counterweights and a large-frame design with a long, stable wheelbase ensure both performance and stability, securing its place as one of the most productive skid steers available.
Ease of Ownership
All critical checks and service points are easily accessible from the rear of the machine. The 8-inch LCD display offers operators real-time data on machine operation and performance, simplifying maintenance routines. Additionally, the SR270B features a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) emissions solution that eliminates the need for regular maintenance or filter replacement, requiring only periodic diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) refills.

SR270B Emissions
Tier 4 Final
HPCR, EXTERNAL CEGR WITH DOC & SCR
Why this solution: As an after-treatment system, Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) lowers exhaust temperatures and does not require unproductive fuel use associated with burning off particulate matter. Plus, there’s no Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) to replace, making it a great solution for larger, high-productivity engines.
How it works: The high-pressure common rail (HPCR) system electronically controls fuel injection for greater fuel economy through more efficient fuel burn. With Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (CEGR), exhaust gases are cooled, blended with fresh air, and returned to the cylinder. Then, the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) oxidizes the machine’s exhaust to create heat, further managing particulate matter emissions.
SCR is a simple solution that combines DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) with exhaust to convert NOx emissions into nitrogen and water. DEF is a non-toxic liquid that reacts with engine exhaust in the presence of a catalyst to perform emissions conversion.
What this means to you: SCR significantly reduces fuel use and has no DPF to replace, resulting in a lower total operating cost for the machine’s life. Keeping it running is simple – just refill DEF as needed.
