CASE WX160E Wheeled Excavator

The CASE WX160E Wheeled Excavator combines a middleweight’s agility with a heavyweight’s strength, delivering exceptional road speed, formidable power, and unmatched jobsite productivity in a highly mobile package. Engineered for top-class comfort and control, it ensures operators maintain peak efficiency continuously. This excavator is designed to tackle a wide range of tasks easily, making it a versatile and valuable addition to any fleet.

WX160E Features

The WX160E is equipped with a robust 170 hp engine that is EGR-free and features an automatic after-treatment system cleaning. It offers four user modes, including a customizable one, allowing operators to fine-tune performance, power, and efficiency: engine speed, idle speed, pump power, and flow to meet the demands of any job.

Designed for maximum mobility, the WX160E offers a range of lower-frame options, including combinations of dozer blades and stabilizers and twin tires to minimize downtime due to flats. Heavy-duty axles and a hydrostatic transmission enable speeds of up to 25 mph, complemented by standard cruise control and Ride Control for a smoother ride. A trailer hitch is also included for transporting attachments, materials, or debris.

The standard two-piece boom enhances maneuverability in tight spaces, while an optional monoboom increases lifting capacity. Joystick steering up to 6.2 mph ensures precise control at low speeds. The excavator is a tool carrier, ready for both one-way and two-way flow attachments, with an optional low-flow circuit for delicate operations. An optional Leica 2D Precision package and various work tools extend its versatility further, from asphalt cutters to pallet forks.

CASE prioritizes operator comfort with large glass surfaces for exceptional visibility, an air-suspension heated seat with extensive adjustability, an 8″ touchscreen display, and a separate camera display. Optional smart ignition and Auto Braking features enhance both security and operational efficiency.

The WX160E boasts easy serviceability with 800-hour intervals for engine oil and filters, 1,000-hour intervals for fuel filters, and 5,000-hour intervals for hydraulic oil. A 3-year/3,000-hour full machine warranty and a 2,000-hour maintenance plan ensure reliability and peace of mind, with many consumables accessible for ground-level service.
