TB257FR Compact Excavator
The newest excavator in the FR series, the TB257FR features a side-to-side (STS) offset boom coupled with the tight tail swing for unmatched visibility to the work equipment and enables it to rotate fully with very little overhang. With an operating weight of 12,930 lb, a bucket breakout force of 10,431 lb and multiple hydraulic auxiliary circuits makes the TB257FR an outstanding attachment platform and perfect for limited space job sites. Its low center of gravity and optimized counterweight placement creates an extremely stable platform with lifting capabilities similar to that of a conventional machine.

Side-to-Side (STS) Offset Boom Compact Excavator Benefits
- Enhanced Versatility: The side-to-side offset boom design allows the operator to work alongside obstacles, such as walls or buildings, without needing to reposition the entire machine. This versatility is especially useful in urban construction sites or areas with limited space.
- Minimized Repositioning: With the ability to offset the boom to one side, operators can work more efficiently and minimize the need to constantly reposition the machine. This can save time and increase overall productivity.
- Reduced Ground Disturbance: The offset boom design allows operators to reach over existing terrain or structures, reducing the need to disturb the ground or make unnecessary adjustments to the working area.
- Improved Accessibility: The STS offset boom excavator can access tight spots that might be difficult to reach with a standard excavator, allowing work in confined spaces without compromising the stability of the machine.
- Precision Work: The offset boom provides greater accuracy for tasks that require careful placement of the bucket or attachment, such as trenching or digging close to foundations.
- Reduced Risk of Collisions: The offset boom minimizes the risk of collisions between the boom and obstacles like walls, barriers, or other structures, improving overall safety on the job site.
- Optimized Visibility: Operators can maintain better visibility of the work area when the boom is offset to the side, allowing for more precise operation and safer maneuvering.
- Easy Transportation: The compact size of the STS offset boom excavator makes it easier to transport to and from job sites, and its flexibility can reduce the need for additional equipment.
- Operator Comfort: The ergonomic design of the operator cabin, along with the increased flexibility of the offset boom, can contribute to a more comfortable and productive working environment.
- Reduced Environmental Impact: The reduced need for repositioning and the ability to work around obstacles can lead to less ground disturbance and a lower overall environmental impact.
- Cost Efficiency: The increased efficiency and reduced repositioning translate to potential cost savings in terms of fuel, labor, and machine wear.
