I had a hydraulic problem on my skid steer and called all my local dealers in the lake Ozark area. They were all weeks out and really acted like they didn’t want to take the job. We called Luby Equipment out of Springfield and they pulled it in the next day to diagnose, and got the ball rolling. Travis at the desk answered all our phone calls and let us know the progress. If my Case machine needs work from here on out, I’ll be taking it to Luby. Customer service was tip top
Response from the owner:Cody, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We’re glad we could get you taken care of on such short notice. We know downtime is money lost, so keeping customers updated and getting machines back to work matters. We’ll make sure Travis and the Springfield team see this.

Built for Confined Urban Jobsites

Many neighborhoods around St. Louis, such as Kirkwood, Maplewood, and University City, feature narrow lots, alleyways, and older infrastructure. This environment calls for machinery that can fit where larger equipment can’t.

The Toro Dingo TX 1000, available in both narrow (41 inches) and wide (47 inches) track configurations, offers a compact footprint and zero-turn maneuverability.

Both versions provide excellent access to residential spaces, but the narrow track is particularly well-suited for confined lots and tight utility corridors. At just 41 inches wide (narrow track), the TX 1000 can easily access backyards, side lots, and utility corridors without causing property damage.

Power That Matches Bigger Machines

Despite its compact size, the TX 1000 delivers robust performance with a rated operating capacity of up to 1,000 pounds. Its vertical lift loader arms provide maximum reach and lift height for improved material handling. Paired with a 24.9 hp diesel engine, it’s built to handle demanding trenching, augering, and backfilling tasks every day in small utility projects.

Key features include:

  • Rated operating capacity: 1,000 lbs (wide track)
  • Hinge pin height: 81 in
  • Hydraulic flow: 13.3 gpm
  • Ground pressure: 3.4 psi (wide track)
Toro® Dingo® Mini Track Loader TX 1000

These capabilities allow crews to complete tasks efficiently without the need for larger, more disruptive machines.

Versatility with Multiple Attachments

From trenchers and augers to buckets and forks, the Toro Dingo TX 1000 supports a wide range of attachments. This adaptability makes it especially valuable for utility crews needing to switch between digging, lifting, and material transport within a single day.

In suburban utility work—such as installing irrigation lines, light pole foundations, or electrical conduit—equipment that can perform multiple roles reduces downtime and jobsite clutter.

Minimizing Ground Disturbance

Preserving turf and minimizing site disruption are critical when working in residential areas. The TX 1000’s low ground pressure and track system provide better flotation than wheeled machines, reducing the risk of rutting lawns or compacting soil around foundations.

This is a key advantage when working in HOA-managed neighborhoods or historic districts where cleanup and restoration requirements are strict.

Why Local Matters: Luby Equipment in St. Louis

When time and reliability matter, working with a local dealer who understands your market can make all the difference. Luby Equipment offers Toro compact utility loaders, such as the TX 1000, to contractors and municipalities throughout the greater St. Louis area.

Whether you need a short-term rental for a specific project or are considering adding a Dingo to your fleet, Luby provides flexible options, service support, and expert advice to keep your operations moving.

Similar Models to Consider

While the Toro Dingo TX 1000 is a top choice for many utility crews, there are a few other models that may also suit your needs depending on jobsite conditions and performance requirements:

  • Toro Dingo 320-D: A diesel-powered option with a more petite frame and lower ground pressure—great for ultra-sensitive turf areas.
  • Toro Dingo TX 525 (Narrow or Wide Track): Available in both narrow (~33.7″) and wide (~41″) track versions, the TX 525 offers strong hydraulic flow and torque with a slightly lower lift capacity than the TX 1000. It’s an excellent choice for moderate-duty utility work where compactness and versatility are needed.
  • CASE TR270B: A compact track loader with higher operating capacity and cab enclosure options. Ideal for crews requiring additional lift height and comfort.
  • Takeuchi TL6R: A small-frame track loader that provides a solid mix of power and maneuverability for grading and lifting in confined utility projects.

Each of these machines has strengths depending on the specific type of work and environment. Luby Equipment offers a range of models for purchase or rental, along with guidance to help you select the right equipment for your job.

Find the Right Solution for Your Crew

If your team handles utility or landscaping work in suburban St. Louis, the Toro Dingo TX 1000 is a worthy consideration. Its combination of power, precision, and compact design makes it a wise choice for tight urban jobsites and multi-tasking crews.
